Job Description

As an Early Years Educator at Jamiyah Kindergarten, you will play a key role in nurturing and educating children aged 3 to 6 through a holistic and values-based approach. You will design and deliver engaging learning experiences that support children’s language development, social-emotional growth, and overall well-being in a safe and inclusive environment.

Location: Tampines, Ang Mo Kio and Woodlands

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the preschool curriculum framework.
• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that supports children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Use a variety of teaching methods such as storytelling, music and movement, and hands-on activities to engage children.
• Observe and document children’s learning progress and development.
• Support children’s daily routines, including hygiene, safety, and well-being.
• Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers through regular communication and updates.
• Collaborate with colleagues and centre leadership to support programme planning and centre initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and conducive classroom environment at all times.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (DECCE-T) or equivalent recognised by ECDA.
• L2 certification (preferred) or eligible for certification.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and preschool management systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and/or Malay (for Malay Language role).
