Job Summary
The Early Interventionist is responsible for delivering high-quality, effective learning experiences by implementing tailored curriculum and applying evidence-based teaching and classroom management strategies to support children’s developmental progress.
Responsibilities
- Assess students’ developmental needs and learning progress to inform and adapt individualized curriculum plans
- Develop and execute action plans for curriculum delivery that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
- Prepare and organize curriculum resources to support diverse learning activities and developmental goals
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment that promotes student well-being and active participation
- Document and maintain accurate student records to track progress and inform ongoing intervention strategies
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning and teaching programs through continuous assessment and feedback
- Implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) to address specific developmental and educational needs of each student
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) (ADECISN) or a relevant diploma such as Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention or Diploma in Early Childhood
- Certificate in Autism and Higher Certificate in Autism or Certificate in Special Education
