As a DevOps Engineer, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure. Your role is central to the "GovTech" mission—integrating continuous delivery, container orchestration, and robust security into the core WOG data platform. You will provide technical leadership, manage team performance, and collaborate across multiple agencies to onboard datasets efficiently.

• Infrastructure & Automation: Build and operate the core WOG data platform, developing and optimizing infrastructure automation to enhance deployment efficiency and reliability.

• Pipeline Management: Build and test end-to-end CI/CD pipelines while ensuring that systems remain secure against potential threats.

• DevSecOps Integration: Apply advanced DevSecOps principles to ensure every stage of the deployment lifecycle is hardened and compliant.

• Agency Support: Act as a technical consultant to support various government agencies in integrating with the data platform and developing automated data connectors.

• System Monitoring: Analyze system performance and security metrics to proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact national-scale services.

• Collaborative Leadership: Engage with multiple teams to contribute to key architectural decisions and provide solutions for complex cross-functional challenges.

• Continuous Improvement: Mentor team members, share technical expertise, and foster a collaborative environment to elevate overall project quality.

skills and experience required

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a DevOps or Infrastructure role.

• Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in DevSecOps is mandatory.

• Cloud Proficiency: Intermediate proficiency in AWS Operations.

• Tooling & Management: Strong hands-on experience with GitHub and Application Deployment Management.

• Core Competencies: Expertise in Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CD), and container orchestration.

• Data Platform Knowledge: Ability to develop data connectors and pipelines to onboard large-scale datasets.

• Soft Skills: Proven ability to manage team decisions, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and provide strategic problem-solving.
