For several ongoing and upcoming high-rise developments, we are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead design coordination and technical integration between consultants, project teams, and construction teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage the design coordination process for major building construction projects from design development through construction stage.
• Coordinate closely with consultants, architects, and M&E teams to ensure integration between civil, structural, architectural, and building services designs.
• Review consultant drawings, technical submissions, and design deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, statutory regulations, and authority standards.
• Ensure designs comply with BCA, SCDF, URA, NEA and other regulatory authority requirements.
• Support value engineering initiatives and buildability reviews to improve construction efficiency and project outcomes.
• Manage the design approval process, authority submissions, and consultant coordination.
• Work closely with project management and site teams to resolve design issues during construction.
• Monitor design progress and ensure alignment with project schedules and key milestones.
• Chair design coordination meetings and technical workshops with consultants and project stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and support to project teams in addressing complex design challenges.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 12–18 years of experience in civil and structural design or design management within building construction projects.
• Strong experience in high-rise residential, commercial, healthcare, or institutional developments in Singapore.
• Prior experience working with Main Contractors or major design consultancies is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete design, foundation systems, and structural coordination.
• Familiarity with Singapore authority requirements including BCA, SCDF and statutory submissions.
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
