We are seeking a highly motivated Deputy Biomedical Engineer to join the team. Reporting to the Manager, you will play a critical role in providing technical support for 5 to 6 Dialysis Centers. Ensure the safe, effective, and cost-efficient management of biomedical engineering services across all facilities. Your responsibilities are as follows:
Periodic Preventive Maintenance (PPM): Ensure that Water Treatment Systems (minimum two PPM/year), Dialysis machines, Acid concentrate centralized delivery systems, Infusion pumps, vital sign monitors, AEDs, Weighing Scales, Access flow monitors, Ultrasound scanners and other biomedical equipment are regularly maintained (minimum one PPM/year) to meet the required level of performance and minimize the equipment breakdown rates.
Quality control of Product water and Dialysate Fluid: Conduct routine sampling of product water and dialysate to ensure they meet safety standards for patient treatment. Verify compliance with Ministry of Health (MOH) regulations and quality benchmarks to support the issuance or renewal of the Dialysis Centre (DC) license for assigned DCs.
Equipment Breakdown Service: Ensure all biomedical equipment and Water treatment systems are serviced properly before put in to use after a breakdown service ensuring the availability of the equipment when required. Provide 24/7 frontline technical support to maintain critical equipment and ensure uninterrupted dialysis operations with the support from BMEs/ SBMEs/ Manager.
Clinical Staff Training: Provide basic user training for all the clinical staff on machine functions, water treatment system and other biomedical equipment.
Additional Role: Take additional responsibilities as per HOD’s instruction. For example: assist in new/retrofit DC projects, water treatment system refurbishment projects.
Off Duty work: Perform Water treatment system’s maintenance work on Sundays (minimum 2 Sundays /month) and 24x7 on-call service for the assigned DCs after office hours and on public holidays.
Qualification
Full Time Diploma/ Degree in Bio-Medical / Medical Technology / Electrical / Electronics / or relevant studies.
