Occupation : Data Scientist

NTT DATA is seeking a passionate and innovative Data & AI Scientist to design and develop scalable, reusable, and cost-effective cloud-native data and AI products. You will be part of a dynamic AI development team, working on state-of-the-art technologies to solve real-world industry challenges and deliver impactful AI-driven solutions.

This is a contract role with NTT DATA, based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy scalable cloud-native data and AI products
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and industry partners across the full product lifecycle (concept to operationalisation)
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and assess their maturity and suitability for industry adoption
• Develop microservices-based software components for AI applications
• Implement and validate AI algorithms, ensuring transparency, fairness, scalability, security, and cost efficiency
• Participate in agile and secure software development processes, including documentation
• Contribute thought leadership articles, blogs, and technical papers on AI advancements
• Drive technology transfer and collaborate with research institutes and higher learning institutions
• Engage stakeholders and support industry adoption of AI solutions

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline
• Strong technical expertise in AI domains such as Computer Vision (CV), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Recommendation Systems, or Synthetic AI
• Good understanding of AI research and production deployment, including mobile and IoT environments
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native development preferred
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
