Job Description
We are seeking a Securities Services Officer to join our Custody & Securities Services team. This role supports institutional clients by ensuring accurate and timely trade settlement, custody reconciliation, corporate actions processing, and cash operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with custodians, internal operations teams, and clients to ensure smooth post-trade processing and high-quality service delivery within a regulated banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Custody & Settlement Operations
- Process end-to-end trade settlements across equities, fixed income, FX, and other securities products
- Perform daily reconciliation between custodian records, internal systems, and client positions
- Liaise with global custodians to resolve breaks and ensure timely settlement completion
Corporate Actions & Cash Management
- Process corporate action events and related entitlements / payments
- Execute client cash instructions including transfers and funding movements
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of custody and cash records
Client Servicing & Operational Support
- Handle client enquiries related to custody records, statements, corporate actions, and settlement matters
- Support audit queries and documentation requests
- Participate in periodic service reviews with custodians and clients
Controls & Compliance
- Ensure all transactions comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Support periodic KYC reviews for existing institutional clients (as part of custody servicing process)
- Work closely with checker / control functions to ensure operational accuracy and control adherence
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in custody operations, securities settlement, or back-office operations in a bank or financial institution
- Strong understanding of securities products and post-trade lifecycle
- Familiar with settlement and reconciliation processes (SWIFT knowledge is an advantage)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills in English; Mandarin required for client and Head Office communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office tools
