About the Company
Leading international marine and offshore engineering company involved in large-scale infrastructure and energy projects across Asia and Europe.
With a strong focus on operational excellence, safety, and sustainability, they are expanding their regional crewing capability and seeking a dedicated professional to support crew operations and payroll management in Singapore and neighbouring countries.
About the Role
As a Crewing Officer , you will oversee day-to-day crewing administration, and regulatory compliance for vessels operating across Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the region.
You will work closely with the HQ Crewing team, vessel management, and local crewing agents to ensure smooth crew changes, accurate payroll management, and compliance with MLC 2006 and STCW requirements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate crew mobilization and demobilization across regional ports (Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia).
- Liaise with HQ Crewing, vessel Masters, and local agents to ensure timely crew changes.
- Administer monthly crew payroll – salary computation, overtime, deductions, and leave management.
- Prepare crew cost and budgeting reports, and reconcile payroll data with finance teams.
- Maintain and update the in-house personnel management system, ensuring records and certificates are current.
- Ensure all crew certificates and documentation comply with MLC 2006, STCW, and local maritime regulations.
- Review and formalize local crewing policies and best practices in line with HQ standards.
- Respond to queries from stakeholders regarding payroll, documentation, and scheduling.
- Generate periodic crewing and payroll reports for management.
- Support daily crewing and administrative functions as required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in crewing operations and crew administration.
- Strong understanding of MLC 2006, STCW, and maritime crewing practices.
