Counsellor (1-Year Contract) – 4 Positions
💰 Salary: $4,800 – $5,040 / month
📍 Location: Office-based with hotline duties
📅 Contract Period: May 2026 – April 2027

About the Role

We are looking for passionate Counsellors to support individuals facing emotional, personal, and mental health challenges. You will provide individual and group counselling, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and conduct mental health awareness sessions. You will also contribute to a supportive environment by advising supervisors on staff well-being and performing scheduled counselling hotline duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and group counselling sessions.
• Support clients in managing mental health and well-being.
• Collaborate with medical and mental health partners.
• Perform counselling hotline duties (2 × 24-hour shifts per month).
• Lead mental health awareness programmes and training.
• Provide consultation and advice to supervisors/management.
• Assist with other duties to support programme objectives.

Requirements

• Postgraduate degree in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• Experience in mental health and substance abuse counselling (individual & group).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and English proficiency.
• Basic IT and Microsoft Office skills.
• Membership in SASW, SAC, or SPS preferred but not required.

Working Hours

Non-Hotline Duty Days:

• Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Hotline Duty Days:

• 8:00 AM on duty day to 8:00 AM the following day
