Job Summary

You will prepare ingredients and dishes, assist with kitchen duties, and support the Head Chef to maintain high food quality and hygiene standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up various kitchen workstations to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Prepare and produce mise en place accurately for efficient service
• Run and expedite line service to meet customer demand promptly
• Maintain food quality and uphold kitchen hygiene standards consistently
• Minimise food wastage by adhering to cost control measures and precise ingredient and portion measurements
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the outlet strictly
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work environment to ensure serviceability and safety

Required competencies and certifications

• Possess a certificate in Culinary Skills or GCE 'O' level or equivalent

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior work experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, preparation, and procedures
• Demonstrate teamwork through effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Exhibit a positive service attitude, coachability, and willingness to learn
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and a proactive, can-do attitude
• Ability to work 6 days a week including shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Availability to start work immediately or on short notice
• Own a vehicle for commuting if not residing locally
