The Bank is looking for a talented and experienced Content Strategist to join its Group Marketing & Communications (GM&C) enterprise-wide content team for a maternity cover period.

The Content Strategist is responsible for conceptualising, designing and executing content marketing experiences across social media, websites and internal communications channels that shape perceptions about the brand. This is a temporary role designed to provide essential support during a period of absence.

Well-versed in digital media production, with an intimate understanding of how marketing campaigns are brought to life through storytelling from ideation, to publishing, to amplification, the Content Strategist will work closely with content team members, our dedicated in-house production studio as well as other teams like business marketing, media relations

Key Accountabilities

1. Design and conceptualise content marketing campaigns in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure end-to-end integration of brand messaging with a wide range of transmedia content components that are distributed internally and externally, with minimal supervision under tight deadlines.

2. Drive content innovation by developing long-form and short-form content Ips (inclusive of written and audio-visual) to deliver stories in more creative ways to customers and employees.

3. Drive projects with an investigative journalist approach and a social-first treatment in order to produce weekly content formats with powerful storytelling that accelerate audience growth.

4. Use data-driven insights to improve content publishing processes and copywriting for social media.

5. Ensure quality and consistency in materials produced and published.

Experience

1. 5-7 years’ experience in a news, broadcasting, publishing or other digital media.

Newsroom experience or previous in-house content strategist role a plus.

Education / Preferred Qualifications

2. Diploma qualifications from polytechnics/ film & media/ advertising/marketing institutes.

3. Candidates with degree in journalism or digital broadcast media a plus.

Core Competencies

1. Proven work experience and skills in end-to-end creative content production and online publishing - from ideation to amplification.

2. Content and/or project portfolio that showcases your copywriting style and ability to craft transmedia stories.

3. Serial format script writing experience a plus.

4. Passionate about and skilful in delivering engaging and relatable storytelling through digital media (E.G. articles, videos, podcasts) that speaks directly to viewers/readers.

5. Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines and occasionally at night, on weekends and public holidays if required.

6. Highly developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.

7. Creative and innovative, with a focus on continuous improvement.

8. Proven ability of being an exceptional team player.

9. Strong sense of ownership of results.

Technical Competencies

1. Deep operational knowledge and content development expertise in all digital media formats

2. Well-versed in spoken and written English

3. Understanding and use of data and research to inform content strategies

4.Experience in managing and optimising content on social media accounts as well as SEO/GEO.

5. Deep knowledge of the digital publishing process and transmedia content lifecycle.

6. Social media native with understanding in audience and content consumption data to support the creative decision-making process
