Job Description

Cnc Programmer Job Summary

• CNC programming 3- and 5-axis CNC mills.

• Develop new CNC programs for production runs or modify existing programs for different machines.

• Perform quality checks with the machine operator to ensure the program is producing parts according to specifications.

• Manual adjustments if required and update to existing program.

• Work with the engineers for product modifications to reduce the amount of material or fabrication time.

• Computer-aided design programs NX software.

• Maintaining of program master list and revision.

Cnc Programmer Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for production runs.

• Analyze drawings to determine dimensions and to choose cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.

• Modify existing programs for different machines.

• Maintain tooling database.

• Make manual program adjustments as necessary.

• Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.

• Support RFQ quotation fabrication process.

Cnc Programmer Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma, GCE ‘O’ ITE.

• Experience programming 3- and 5-axis CNC mills.

• Familiarity with Mastercam and NX software.

• Basic math skills
