Responsible for set up, machining andin-process inspection of a variety of items requiring a high degree of skilland proficiency as a machinist. CNC 3 personnel have the ability to machineprecision components on a manual or CNC Machine. Position requires the abilityto perform a variety of machining duties with no direct supervision.

Responsibilities

·      Set up and operate manual and/or CNCmachines at a very high level of proficiency.

·      Set up and thread "all threadsand grades of material" that the facility is licensed for on a cnc lathe,with no assistance on setup and first article inspection.

·      Obtain required overlays and reviewfirst article with no assistance.

·      Set up and operate "all"CNC machines at that facility location.

·      Select proper tools and gages forthreading or process to be performed.

·      Able to adjust machine processes andtooling to optimize cycle time and maintain process control as well as CNCediting on the shop floor.

·      Perform necessary mathematicalcalculations to produce angles.

·      Understands product drawings and canproduce parts from drawings.

·      Help train machinists at CNC 1 andCNC 2 levels.

·      Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

·      ITE or NITEC orequivalent required

·      Proficiency in English isrequired to ensure proper understanding of safety procedures, machine manuals,and production requirements.

·      Must meet qualificationsfor CNC machinist with 5 years' experience in metal removal on a variety ofmachines
