Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Cloud/Network Engineer – Proxy Engineer to manage and support enterprise proxy infrastructure. The role involves administration of proxy technologies, troubleshooting web connectivity issues, implementing security policies, and ensuring optimal proxy performance within the network environment.

Key Responsibilities

Proxy Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain Fortinet appliances including FortiProxy, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.

• Manage and maintain Squid Proxy and HAProxy in a RedHat Linux environment.

Policy Management

• Implement and manage proxy security policies, URL categorization, and SSL inspection policies.

Technical Support & Incident Resolution

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support to troubleshoot and resolve proxy-related issues, including application web connectivity and user web browsing problems.

Technology Lifecycle Management

• Perform software upgrades and patch management.

• Review and mitigate Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs).

• Track and manage End-of-Life (EOL) and End-of-Service-Life (EOSL) for hardware and software.

Traffic Engineering & Optimization

• Develop, test, and deploy Proxy Auto-Configuration (PAC) files to optimize web traffic routing and improve network performance.

Automation & Productivity

• Drive and support automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and enhance user experience.

User & Business Engagement

• Work with business units and users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Project & BAU Initiatives

• Lead and manage projects and BAU activities, coordinating with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams.

Documentation & Security Baseline

• Prepare technical documentation, design documents, operational procedures, and reports.

• Maintain security baseline, hardening standards, and system health checks.

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in proxy operations and administration within network or infrastructure environments.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE, or other relevant Firewall/Proxy certifications.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Fortinet FortiProxy, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Squid Proxy, or BlueCoat Proxy.

• Solid knowledge of Linux (RedHat) systems and command-line operations.

• Understanding of proxy technologies, network security, and secure communication protocols (SSL/TLS).

• Familiarity with authentication protocols such as Kerberos, NTLM, LDAP, and SAML.

• Experience with Firewalls, DNS, GTM, Load Balancers, and related network technologies.

• Proficiency with Linux CLI tools and VI editor.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Willingness to support scheduled production changes during late nights or weekends when required.
