Job Summary

You will manage corporate and private banking account openings, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Support daily operations, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate customer data while adhering to AML/CFT and risk management standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and process account opening documentation for corporate and private banking customers to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Perform system account opening and create and maintain accurate customer records and risk profiles
• Support business-as-usual operations by following departmental procedures and regulatory guidelines, focusing on customer acceptance standards
• Coordinate with relevant parties to resolve discrepancies and escalate exceptions to supervisors when necessary
• Ensure compliance with AML/CFT, data protection, and risk management policies by promptly reporting issues or exceptions
• Respond to enquiries from business units and operations teams via phone and email to provide timely support
• Set up online banking services for new customers to facilitate account access
• Contribute to ad hoc projects or assignments as required to support team objectives

Required competencies and certifications

• Knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and customer due diligence requirements
• Proficiency in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in KYC, onboarding, or AML/CFT-related roles
• Proactive and detail-oriented work approach with the ability to work independently and take responsibility
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills to collaborate effectively across teams
