Job Summary

The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and coordinating construction projects to ensure they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil engineering and construction activities.
• Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Review engineering drawings, technical documents, and construction methods.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and authorities on project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Monitor project costs, material usage, and resource allocation.
• Identify project risks and recommend practical solutions to resolve technical and site issues.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore building regulations, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, and company policies.
• Assist in tender evaluations, cost estimates, and project planning when required.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate project activities with relevant stakeholders.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant construction or civil engineering experience (adjustable based on seniority).
• Knowledge of construction methods, structural works, and project management.
• Familiarity with Singapore building regulations and WSH requirements is preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Good problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence (preferred, if site travel is required).
