JOB TITLE: CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER (COO)

ROLE
The COO will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, efficient execution of strategy, and alignment of resources across all functions. This position requires a balance of strategic vision and operational discipline, ideally with experience in e-commerce, consultancy, or project management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and articulate the long-term vision and mission of the school, ensuring alignment with the board’s objectives and the school’s educational philosophy.
  • Formulate strategic plans to guide the school’s growth, sustainability, and positioning in the competitive international education market.
  • Identify new opportunities for expansion, partnerships, and program development
  • Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to anticipate trends and adjust strategies proactively.
  • Align financial, operational, and academic goals to achieve sustainable growth.
  • Build strategic partnerships with investors, education bodies, government agencies, and global institutions.
  • Oversee brand development and market positioning to attract students, faculty, and partners.
  • Establish performance metrics (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives and ensure accountability.
  • Balance short-term operational needs with long-term institutional goals, ensuring agility in decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of operational leadership experience across large and small organizations.
  • Prior exposure to both client-side and consultancy environments.
  • Experience in e-commerce, PMO, or education management strongly preferred.
  • Strong execution skills with proven ability to manage complex projects.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages an advantage.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced international school environment.
