About the Role

This is a newly created Executive Leadership position with a strong regional growth mandate, with particular emphasis on the China and ASEAN markets. As SagePaths Global Education continues its expansion across Asia, the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will play a pivotal role in shaping the Group’s commercial strategy, driving sustainable revenue growth, and strengthening its international education ecosystem.

The CCO will be responsible for building a scalable, data-driven, and high-performance commercial framework that integrates student recruitment, admissions, marketing, partnerships, and digital systems across all business units. This role is instrumental in translating strategic vision into commercial success and long-term market leadership.

As we enter our next phase of strategic development, we are strengthening our Executive Leadership Team to support rapid regional expansion and organisational scaling. The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will be a core member of this leadership group, working directly with the Managing Director and the Board to lead the Group’s commercial transformation, revenue growth strategy, and international market expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will lead the Group’s end-to-end commercial strategy, with full responsibility across:

  • Marketing, branding, and corporate communications for all SagePaths and Pickering brands
  • Student recruitment strategy, sales performance management, admissions operations, and conversion optimisation
  • Agent network development, channel management, and strategic partnerships (both domestic and international)
  • Commercial systems architecture, including CRM, websites, digital marketing platforms, and data analytics infrastructure
  • Pricing strategy, revenue diversification initiatives, and market expansion planning

The role carries executive accountability to:

  • Drive sustainable enrolment growth and strong revenue performance across both onshore and offshore markets
  • Build a predictable, data-driven recruitment pipeline supported by disciplined sales governance and reporting structures
  • Optimise admissions workflows, conversion rates, and overall student acquisition efficiency
  • Lead CRM and digital platform integration to deliver a seamless, consistent, and high-quality student recruitment experience
  • Strengthen commercial compliance with Singapore PEI regulations (SSG, EduTrust), overseas regulatory frameworks, and partner contractual obligations
  • Champion an exceptional student experience from first engagement through to enrolment, consistently applied across all business units
  • Develop and execute a customer-centric, brand-driven marketing strategy aligned with SagePaths’ premium and professional positioning
  • Build, manage, and scale strategic partnerships with universities, private education institutions, overseas schools, and pathway providers
  • Establish scalable commercial processes, structures, and performance frameworks that support rapid regional and international growth

The Successful Candidate

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CCO will work closely with the Managing Director, Executive Dean, and Operations to translate strategic direction into measurable and sustainable commercial performance.

We are seeking a commercially astute, internationally minded leader with:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications are strongly preferred
  • 10 years of senior commercial leadership experience, MUST within international education, transnational education, or higher education services
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese is essential, with the ability to conduct professional-level communication, negotiations, and relationship management with business partners, universities, and partner institutions across Chin
  • Proven experience leading large-scale student recruitment, admissions, and marketing operations across multiple markets
  • Deep understanding of international education ecosystems, student mobility trends, agent networks, and education partnerships
  • Strong familiarity with compliance frameworks, including Singapore PEI / EduTrust requirements and international regulatory standards
  • A strong track record in building, scaling, and optimising CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and performance dashboards
  • Experience integrating CRM with LMS, finance, admissions, and student management systems
  • A strategic mindset combined with strong execution capability and operational discipline
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to build high-performing, values-driven teams across marketing, recruitment, and admissions
  • Comfort and effectiveness operating within a multi-country, multi-brand, and fast-growth environment

Regular travel across Singapore, China, and Southeast Asia will be required to support regional operations and partnerships.
