Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cargo Captain to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our vessel’s cargo operations. The ideal candidate must hold a valid Certificate of Competency (COC) and Certificate of Endorsement (COE), with all certifications being current but issued less than 6 months ago.

Key Responsibilities:

• Command the vessel safely and ensure compliance with all international and local maritime regulations.
• Supervise loading, stowage, and unloading of cargo to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of cargo operations, vessel logbooks, and safety reports.
• Manage and supervise the crew, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and operational protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections of vessel equipment and cargo handling gear.
• Coordinate with port authorities, agents, and company management regarding vessel operations.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, ensuring the safety of the vessel, crew, and cargo.

Requirements:

• Valid Certificate of Competency (COC) and Certificate of Endorsement (COE).
• All certifications must be issued within the last 6 months.
• Proven experience as a Cargo Captain or similar role on commercial vessels.
• Strong knowledge of cargo operations, maritime safety regulations, and vessel navigation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in emergencies.
