As we continue to expand our regional footprint, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to lead our market development efforts in Malaysia and locally.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute market entry and growth strategies in Malaysia and local market for fresh produce trading and distribution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including importers, distributors, wholesale markets, and regulatory agencies.
• Identify and onboard reliable suppliers and partners across the region to strengthen the company’s supply chain.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and risks.
• Work closely with internal teams (procurement, logistics, finance, and marketing) to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
• Drive revenue growth, profitability, and brand presence in assigned markets.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant import/export and food safety regulations in both countries.

Requirements

• Major study in Business, International Trade, Agriculture, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in agribusiness, fresh produce trading, or regional wholesale distribution.
• Strong network within the fresh produce industry in Malaysia and/or China is highly preferred.
• Proven track record in market expansion, client acquisition, and strategic partnerships.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and cross-cultural communication skills.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
• Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
