Our Client:
Our client is a world-class freight forwarding and logistics leader, known for its extensive global network and integrated supply chain solutions. They are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager (Freight Forwarding) to drive growth, expand their client portfolio, and own the commercial success of a key territory.

The Role:
This is a pure hunting and farming role for an experienced sales professional. You will be responsible for delivering Gross Profit (GP) budgets by acquiring new clients and developing strategic relationships within an assigned territory. You will act as the face of the company, using a structured sales process to provide tailored logistics solutions that create lasting value for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver the Gross Profit (GP) budget for your assigned territory.

  • Proactively identify, engage, and build relationships with new clients that fit the company’s strategic profile.

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing key accounts to ensure retention and expansion.

  • Achieve regular face-to-face meeting targets through client visits, calls, and strategic outreach.

  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline in the CRM, ensuring all opportunities are tracked and progressed.

  • Use the company’s consultative sales framework to deeply understand client needs and design competitive logistics solutions.

  • Work closely with internal operations, customer service, and product teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.

  • Handle client inquiries, resolve issues, and act as the primary commercial point of contact.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Diploma/Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of field sales experience in freight forwarding or international logistics, with a documented track record of achieving sales targets.

  • Strong hunter mentality with the ability to identify, engage, and close new business.

  • Excellent understanding of international transportation (air, sea, land) and market dynamics.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.

  • A proactive, results-driven team player with high commercial acumen.
