About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive our Ocean Freight division's growth across the APAC region. This role is ideal for a strategic seller who excels at building lasting client relationships and navigating the complexities of the global supply chain. You will be responsible for expanding our market presence by securing new B2B accounts and acting as a trusted advisor to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Acquisition: Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities to expand the company's client portfolio and revenue stream.
- Strategic Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key B2B accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through dedicated support, market insights, and strategic guidance.
- Full Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales process from lead generation and follow-up to contract negotiation, closing, and overseeing invoicing and payments.
- Market Development: Conduct targeted canvassing and fieldwork to penetrate new markets and secure high-potential accounts within the logistics and supply chain sector.
- Client Retention & Growth: Maintain and nurture existing client relationships, identifying opportunities for upselling and long-term partnership development.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Relevant experience in Logistics & Supply Chain, preferably with a background in global and local sales within the Freight Forwarding industry.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed sales objectives with a strong focus on revenue generation.
- Deep, working knowledge of the APAC ocean freight market, including current trends, regulations, and key players, coupled with a strong track record in client service.
- Ability to work independently with a proactive, driven attitude and minimal supervision.
- Strong business sense and industry expertise with a successful history of identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions clearly to stakeholders and decision-makers.
