Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Business Development Director to lead our physician partnership and network expansion efforts. In this dual-capacity role, you will lead, mentor, and drive the KPIs of a 5-person Business Development team, while also carrying your own individual targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management (Team KPIs):
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5 Business Development Executives/Managers.
Set, track, and purview the team’s KPIs, providing ongoing coaching and performance management to ensure targets for physician engagement, recruitment, and clinic integration are consistently met or exceeded.
Cultivate a high-performing team culture focused on strategic relationship building and operational excellence.
Strategic Business Development (Individual KPIs):
Achieve personal KPIs by directly identifying, engaging, and securing top-tier Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), veteran TCM practitioners, and influential medical experts.
Spearhead high-level negotiations and develop customized partnership models to attract elite talent to the Company.
Act as the senior ambassador for the Company, articulating our premier value proposition—including clinic infrastructure, patient flow, professional development, and administrative support—to high-value prospects.
TCM Sector Strategy & Market Intelligence:
Leverage a crucial, in-depth understanding of the TCM industry to anticipate market trends, practitioner needs, and competitor recruitment strategies.
Translate industry intelligence into actionable, macro-level strategies for the business. Advise the C-suite on market positioning and the evolving dynamics between TCM and integrative Western medicine.
Utilize existing networks within the TCM and conventional healthcare communities to establish the Company as the employer/partner of choice.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate at an executive level with Clinic Operations, Human Resources, and Marketing directors to align recruitment and partnership strategies with overall business scaling and clinic growth objectives.
Ensure the smooth transition and integration of newly partnered KOLs and physicians.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or Life Sciences. An MBA or Master’s degree is a strong plus.
Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in business development, physician recruitment, or healthcare partnerships, with at least 3–5 years of experience directly managing and scaling a BD/sales team.
TCM Expertise: Deep, comprehensive knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, regulatory landscapes, and the integrative healthcare ecosystem. An established network of TCM practitioners and healthcare KOLs is highly advantageous and strongly preferred.
Leadership & KPIs: Proven track record of hitting individual strategic targets while simultaneously driving a team to achieve aggregated KPIs.
Skills: Exceptional executive presence, advanced negotiation skills, and the ability to build immediate trust and credibility with highly credentialed medical professionals and senior internal stakeholders.
Strategic Vision: Demonstrated ability to conceptualize overarching BD strategies, design actionable execution plans, and guide a team through the complete partnership lifecycle.
