Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
A. Business Development & Opportunity Sourcing
- Monitor and track new business opportunities aligned with company objectives.
- Maintain regular engagement with clients and consultants to convert opportunities from business news → tender → project award.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential opportunities and industry trends.
B. Business Department Operations
- Manage daily business department activities, including:
- Preparing board papers for HQ approval and updates.
- Monitoring and reporting weekly business news internally and to HQ.
- Conducting market and competitor analysis and reporting insights to the GM and Management.
- Guiding business executives and monitoring task timelines to ensure smooth execution.
- Performing other duties assigned by the General Manager (Business Department).
- Work closely with the GM to track timelines and ensure timely completion of tasks.
C. Tender Support & Coordination
- Provide support during tender preparation and submission, including:
- Coordinating with internal departments on tender requirements and submissions.
- Checking and compiling complete tender documents.
- Organising Risk Assessment and Value Engineering discussions.
- Monitoring tender timelines and following up with relevant teams.
- Coordinating with consultants for Design & Build (D&B) tenders.
- Prepare and deliver tender presentations and corporate presentations when required.
D. Business Events & Marketing
- Plan and coordinate business events and marketing initiatives with the GM throughout the financial year.
- Manage timelines and work with business executives to ensure successful execution of events and initiatives.
Required Skillsets
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Good writing skills for marketing materials (e.g., newsletters).
- Leadership ability with experience mentoring team members and coordinating across departments or companies.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the built environment industry.
- Preferably 4 years of experience in a consultancy firm.
- Quantity Surveyor (QS) consultancy experience is an advantage.
