Job Description

Job Summary

The Business Supporting Officer will contribute to operational excellence and digital transformation within the bank’s Operations Department by leading system enhancement projects, optimizing system functionalities, and ensuring compliance through accurate reporting and effective stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate system enhancement projects by gathering requirements, managing functional testing, and conducting business verification to ensure successful system upgrades
  • Represent the bank’s operational interests by actively participating in industry work group meetings and following up on action items to influence industry standards
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives by supporting the implementation and localization of operational systems to improve departmental efficiency
  • Optimize system functionalities and operational processes by drafting clear operational manuals and delivering internal training sessions to enhance team capabilities
  • Prepare, review, and submit accurate statistical, monitoring, and regulatory reports within deadlines to maintain compliance and support decision-making
  • Assist with daily business support activities by resolving operational issues and executing tasks assigned by the Department Head to maintain smooth operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Knowledge of local payment systems such as MEPS+, GIRO, FAST, PayNow, and eGIRO, including experience participating in industry exercises
  • Familiarity with data analysis techniques or reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to prepare documentation and reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; ability to liaise with Mandarin-speaking counterparts is advantageous for cross-language collaboration
  • Demonstrated proactive attitude, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to uphold high standards of compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
