UMC will expand production capacity and will build the first 22-nanometer production line in 'Garden City' Singapore. You'll have the opportunity to use your passion and expertise in semiconductors to turn your ideas into world-changing products.

We are looking for automation engineers to join our newly expanded fab in Singapore. You will have the opportunity to lead new technology transfer, new line setup, maintenance, quality and productivity improvements to ensure production runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Manage AMHS (Automatic Material Handling system), Sorter and FOUP performance metric
• Lead in AMHS daily operation, maintenance & troubleshooting and vendor liaison
• Create new function or tune system to optimize EQ/system performance
• Interact with various groups such as IT, manufacturing, EQ/Process owner and vendors to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.
• Initiate project management on cost, quality, scope and schedule to ensure timely delivery

Qualifications

• Possess at least a Bachelor in related Engineering (Electrical engineering /mechanical engineering / mechatronics / computer management)
• Possess good communication skills in working as a team
• Is self-demanding and committed to innovative solutions to complete task
• Able to think critically with strong problem solving skills
• Possess prior experience in basic IT infrastructure setup / maintenance / troubleshooting / (mainly windows based IPCs) will be an advantage
• Candidates with relevant AMHS hardware commissioning and maintenance experience may be considered for a senior position
