Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Assistant Teachers to support lead teachers in a collaborative, child-centric environment by preparing materials, supervising children, and maintaining a safe and engaging classroom.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers during classroom activities to support learning outcomes
• Prepare and organise learning materials for classroom setup to enhance teaching effectiveness
• Clean and disinfect toys and learning materials regularly to maintain hygiene standards
• Supervise children alongside lead teachers to ensure their safety at all times
• Support children during transition periods, including toileting and handwashing, to promote independence and hygiene
• Monitor classroom and school equipment to ensure safety and proper use
• Participate in school events and workshops to contribute to community engagement
• Model kindness, good citizenship, critical and creative thinking, and responsibility when working with students and teachers

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior experience of 1 year or more in a local childcare setting
• At least 1 year of experience in a preschool or childcare environment
• Strong organisational skills demonstrated by managing classroom tasks effectively
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and engage with children
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
• Creative, proactive, and dynamic mindset to contribute positively to the school environment
