Job Description

Job Overview:

The Assistant Project Engineer will report directly to the Project Manager and manage ACMV (Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation) works within the built environment. The role involves ensuring that all project activities comply with engineering and contractual requirements. This position requires collaboration with the design department to meet engineering and safety standards, while overseeing contracts, costs, schedules, and overall project completion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the overall project from concept to completion, including support in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with stakeholders, while following the Project Quality Plan, Safety Management Plan, and Building Execution Plan.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the BIM model, ensuring it is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Collaborate with the client to help meet their requirements under the guidance of the Project Engineer
  • Assist in verifying changes to project scope, schedule, or budget, ensuring compliance.
  • Help in resolving technical or contractual issues that arise during the project, with the support of the senior team.
  • Provide assistance in managing the construction process to ensure it progresses on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.
  • Support monitoring the performance of contractors, ensuring they meet their obligations.
  • Coordinate with various consultants and contractors, under the guidance of the Project Engineer.
  • Assist in the handover process of the project to the client.
  • Comply with all relevant Singapore regulations and standards under the supervision of senior project staff.
  • Promote safety management activities and assist in compliance inspections.
  • Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals.
  • Support sustainability efforts and ensure the project adheres to environmental standards.
  • Help minimize disruption to the public during construction by coordinating with authorities.


Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Project Management, or a related field. ACMV project experience is preferred.
  • Bizsafe Level 2 safety certification or higher preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field is preferred, though fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong independence and leadership skills in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of BIM are advantageous.
