· Participating in NPI activities including DFA and DFM, technical review & support with the design team (Flex design center/ Customer).

· Perform technical review and analyze new business RFP package to provide FGCM inputs (Cycle Time, Space) and NRE for manufacturing setup (Facilities, Jig, Fixture, Tester).

· Identify new Manufacturing setup requirements and develop a solution.

· Manage development projects that are designed to meet customer product specifications, delivery, and cost expectations

· Use technical knowledge of products and associated development tools to assist customers on complex issues

· Contribute to product development by determining customer product needs and translating these needs into new product recommendations and specifications.

· Review customer requirements, identify and communicate potential issues and provide recommendations that will meet both Flextronics capability and customers’ specifications.

· Identify and communicate existing and potential design issues bothinternally and externally.

· Provide best in class complex technical support by answering and closing all customer and program management technical support questions related to manufacturing capabilities including design, fabrication and assembly abilities.

· Assess possible changes to improve, optimize or re-design integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and systems

· Reviews and establishes manpower and equipment resource requirements

· Establish and improve process capabilities for the designated area of involvement, to determine manufacturing feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and customer demand.

· Develop and establish the documentation for projects.

· Co-ordinate and work on the requirements for equipment and processvalidations.

· Identify, validate and assess capabilities of potential collaboration partners or external vendors

· Recommend the purchase of Process and Test equipment

· Ensure smooth implementation of solutions and actions to resolve process and technical issues.

· Transfer/conduct product knowledge training to the Operations and Engineering staff.

· Responsible for leading a team of Process and Test engineers andtechnicians, to work on new projects and transferring these projects to the Operations staff of the site.

· Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on production line.

· Suggest improvements to process to obtain improved quality and production yield.

· Solve product related problems and perform failure analysis related to product issues using 4M1D Analysis and six sigma approach (DMAIC).

· Lead and Support Value Engineering activities through analyzing Product design to determine cost drivers and recommend alternates, re-sourcing, or modifications to improve manufacturability and/or reduce product/process cost.

· Execute design (technical) and business project reviews; makes Seniorand Executive Leadership Teams aware of proposed solutions to unanticipated or potential issues.

· Contribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for theemployees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs.

· Participate and adhere to Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) policy, programs and procedures
