Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the front-of-house, ensuring a smooth and efficient service
  • Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables
  • Manage reservations and optimize seating arrangements to maximize guest satisfaction and restaurant capacity
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service
  • Supervise and support front-of-house staff, including hosts/hostesses, waitstaff, and bartenders
  • Train and mentor front-of-house staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment
  • Address and resolve any guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the dining area
  • Monitor inventory levels of front-of-house supplies and coordinate with management for replenishment
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Assist with special events and private dining arrangements as needed
  • Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily
  • Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships
  • Establishes a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationships
  • Personally and frequently verifies that guests are receiving the best possible service

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a assistant manager in a similar leadership role in the hospitality industry
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
  • Proficient in reservation management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software
  • Impeccable grooming and professional appearance
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management or related field is a plus
