TheAsia Quality Engineering Director is a dynamic, cross-functional leadershiprole responsible for developing and executing regional quality strategy alignedto global objectives—driving zero-defect performance and high-reliabilityoutcomes across Process and Product Management -related value chains. Based in Singaporeand reporting to global Quality leadership, this role leads multi-site teamsand partners with Sales, Manufacturing, Product, and Supply Chain to meetdemanding customer and corporate KPIs.

l  Primary Responsibilities

-         Strategic leadership: Develop and executeregional quality strategies aligned with global corporate objectives to achievezero-defect, high-reliability standards for wafers and assembly; translatestrategy into operating mechanisms, resourcing, and measurable outcomes.

-         Quality Management System (QMS): Leadquality assurance processes for regional plants, including qualification,change management, performance monitoring, audits, corrective action plans maintain,effective CAPA closure and continuously improve the QMS across Asiamanufacturing sites to ensure readiness and adherence to the requirements.

-         Customer quality interface: Serve as thekey quality liaison for strategic Asia customers; lead escalations for qualityexcursions and reliability failures, and drive robust corrective actions using sixsigma, 8D, RCA, and cross-functional containment/preventionplans.

-         Continuous improvement: Champion aquality-first culture by driving Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives;strengthen process control and capability using data analytics to reduce defectdensity and improve customer satisfaction.

-         Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and scalea high-performing regional Quality organization across multiple Asia locations;set clear expectations, develop successors, and build strong engagement andretention.

l  Required Qualifications & Skills

-             Experience: 12–15+ years ofQuality experience in the semiconductor industry, including 10+ years ina senior leadership role.

-             Technical knowledge: working knowledge orexperience of front-end (wafer fabrication) and/or back-end(assembly, packaging, test) processes/ ecosystem of customer qualification andchange control expectations is strongly preferred.

-             Semiconductor quality toolkit:Expert-level application of 8D, RCA, CAPA/SCAR, FMEA, SPC/SQC, DOE, Six Sigma,and trend/statistical analysis to drive robust corrective and preventiveaction.

-             Problem-solving: Demonstrated ability tolead containment, failure analysis, root cause confirmation, and permanentfixes in time-sensitive, customer-facing situations.

-             Leadership: Strong cross-culturalleadership capability to lead teams across multiple Asia locations (e.g.,Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, China, Korea and Japan) and influence outcomesthrough a matrixed organization.

-             Education: Bachelor’s degree inEngineering, Physics, or Materials Science; Master’s degree is highly desired.

-             Communication: Excellent verbal andwritten English; proficiency in additional regional languages (includingMandarin) is a plus.

-             Location & travel: Based in Singaporeand willing to travel frequently within Asia and periodically to globalheadquarters/manufacturing support teams as needed.
