Position Overview

The Asia Finance Manager will act as the Finance Business Partner to the Asia leadership for the Infrastructure and Energy & Natural Resources sectors, supporting financial performance, forecasting discipline, and strategic decision-making across the region.

Working closely with the Asia Sector Leader and country leadership teams, the role will provide commercial insight into sector performance, pipeline outlook, and resource planning to support sustainable growth and margin delivery.

The position sits within the Asia finance team and works closely with regional Finance Business Partners, FP&A, and country finance teams to ensure consistent forecasting discipline, sector performance visibility, and financial governance across the region.

The role will also contribute to strengthening financial reporting frameworks, sector performance dashboards, and the rollout of D365 and enhanced financial reporting capabilities across Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Finance Business Partnering

  • Act as the primary finance partner to the Asia Infrastructure and Energy & Natural Resources leadership teams, providing financial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Support sector leadership in evaluating growth opportunities, project performance, and resource deployment across Asia.
  • Provide financial perspective and constructive challenge to ensure commercial decisions support sustainable revenue growth and margin performance.
  • Translate financial performance into clear and actionable insights for sector leadership.

Sector Financial Performance

  • Monitor and analyse sector financial performance across Asia, including revenue delivery, gross margin, utilisation, and cost drivers.
  • Develop and maintain sector performance dashboards and management reporting to provide clear visibility of performance across countries and business lines.
  • Provide monthly performance analysis and commentary explaining key drivers of variance against budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and work with sector leadership to address performance gaps.

Forecasting, Pipeline Oversight & Business Planning

  • Support the regional forecasting and business planning processes for Infrastructure and Energy & Natural Resources sectors.
  • Work with sector leaders and country teams to ensure pipeline visibility and forecasting assumptions align with operational delivery plans.
  • Support the top-down forecasting process, translating regional targets into realistic country and sector forecasts.
  • Strengthen pipeline and forecasting governance, ensuring consistency in how revenue outlook, project pipelines, and resource plans are reflected in forecasts.
  • Highlight forecast risks and opportunities to support proactive decision-making by leadership.

Project & Commercial Performance

  • Provide financial insight on large or strategic projects, including margin analysis, resource planning, and commercial considerations.
  • Support operational leaders in maintaining financial discipline in project delivery and revenue performance.
  • Contribute financial analysis to support commercial discussions and sector investment decisions.

Systems, Data & Performance Reporting

  • Support the rollout and adoption of D365 across Asia, ensuring financial data structures support sector performance tracking.
  • Contribute to the development of dashboard reporting and business intelligence tools to enhance financial visibility and performance monitoring.
  • Work with FP&A and regional finance teams to strengthen data governance, reporting consistency, and financial insight across the region.

Governance & Finance Framework

  • Ensure alignment with Turner & Townsend financial governance, policies, and reporting standards.
  • Promote consistent forecasting methodologies, performance tracking, and financial discipline across sectors.
  • Support continuous improvement of finance processes, tools, and reporting frameworks across the Asia region.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline.
  • Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent).
  • 10+ years of finance experience, including experience in business partnering, commercial finance, or FP&A roles.
  • 5+ years of finance experience working in regional or multi-country environments.
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP system is advantageous.
  • Experience in project-based, consulting, infrastructure, engineering, or professional services organisations is advantageous.

  • Support sector leadership with timely financial insights that enable proactive management of risks, opportunities, and margin performance.
  • Contribute to the successful adoption of D365 and improved financial reporting frameworks, enhancing financial transparency and decision support across Asia.
  • Build strong partnerships with sector leadership, country teams, and the wider Asia finance network to support sustainable growth and financial performance.
