Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Test Management & Delivery
Lead and manage the Functional Testing Team throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform test effort estimations and provide accurate inputs to the Project Manager.
Manage end-to-end testing delivery up to the System Integration Testing (SIT) environment.
Prepare and maintain key testing documents including:
Test Strategy
Test Plan
Test Run Plan
Test Planning & Review
Review and validate test scenarios, test cases, and testing coverage to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.
Participate in walkthroughs of deliverables to confirm readiness for testing phases.
Defect Management & Quality Assurance
Convene and facilitate defect triage meetings with project stakeholders.
Perform defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution management using JIRA.
Assist application developers in identifying, debugging, and resolving defects effectively.
Conduct defect investigations, root cause analysis, and produce detailed bug reports.
Recommend design improvements or corrective actions to technical teams to enhance solution quality.
Reporting & Governance
Present testing progress, risks, and quality metrics in:
PWG (Project Working Group) Meetings
PSC (Project Steering Committee) Meetings
Prepare and distribute:
Daily Status Reports
Summary Reports
Test Closure Reports
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Coordination
Hire, mentor, coach, and guide QA team members to build strong testing capabilities.
Manage coordination with cross-functional stakeholders including developers, business analysts, project managers, and external partners.
Support regression testing and ensure smooth release cycles.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in leading Functional Testing / QA teams in enterprise-level projects.
Strong expertise in SIT testing execution and end-to-end QA delivery.
Hands-on experience with defect management tools such as JIRA.
Excellent knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
Ability to communicate testing status clearly to senior stakeholders and governance committees.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis.
