A regional bank is looking for AML/KYC Compliance Officers to support its Private Banking business. The role covers client onboarding, transaction monitoring, name screening, AML investigations and broader AML compliance matters.

Responsibilities:

• Review client onboarding and periodic reviews, including CDD, EDD, Source of Wealth (SOW) and Source of Funds (SOF) assessments.
• Assess high-risk and complex client profiles, including beneficial ownership, PEP, adverse media and sanctions risks.
• Investigate transaction-monitoring alerts and escalate suspicious activities for STR filing where required.
• Review name-screening alerts relating to sanctions, PEPs and adverse media.
• Prepare and validate client information for FATCA and CRS reporting.
• Support AML systems, EWRA exercises and enhancements to AML controls.
• Maintain AML/CFT policies and procedures in accordance with MAS Notice 626 and Head Office requirements.
• Support regulatory submissions, audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
• Provide AML/CFT advisory and training to business units and employees.
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement necessary control enhancements.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head or Deputy Head of Legal and Compliance.

Requirements:

• Degree holder with 3 to 5 years of AML/KYC compliance experience in a bank and/or Big Four accounting firm.
• Private Banking experience would be advantageous.
• Experience in client onboarding, CDD/EDD, SOW/SOF assessment, transaction monitoring or sanctions screening.
• Good understanding of MAS AML/CFT requirements, including MAS Notice 626.
• Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
