About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and intellectually curious AI Intern to join our team in Singapore. This is a hands-on internship where you will work directly alongside our engineers and researchers on real problems in video AI, machine learning, and production systems. You will not be doing busywork, you will contribute meaningfully to a fast-moving team building frontier AI technology.

This role is ideal for a student who is passionate about artificial intelligence, eager to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world engineering, and excited by the prospect of working on one of the most technically ambitious video AI platforms in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, training, and evaluation of machine learning models, with a particular focus on video AI and generative systems.
• Process and prepare large-scale datasets for model training, conduct experiments, and help analyse results to inform research and engineering decisions.
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers and researchers, and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of AI systems and pipelines.
• Stay current with the latest developments in AI research and bring fresh ideas to the team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline from a recognised local or international university.
• Proficient in Python, with hands-on familiarity with at least one major machine learning framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Solid grounding in data structures, algorithms, and the fundamentals of machine learning.
• Intellectually driven, detail-oriented, and genuinely enthusiastic about building things that matter.

Working Eligibility

This internship is open to the following candidates in accordance with Singapore's employment laws and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations:

• Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are welcome to apply without restriction.
• International students enrolled at a Singapore-based institution (including NUS, NTU,SMU, SIT, SUTD, and SUSS) may apply, provided they hold a valid Student's Pass and comply with the work conditions stipulated by the Immigration& Checkpoints Authority (ICA). International students on a Student's Pass are permitted to work up to 16 hours per week during term time, and full-time during vacation periods, subject to their institution's approval.
• Employment Pass or Dependant's Pass holders who have obtained a valid Letter of Consent (LOC) from MOM are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates are responsible for ensuring they hold the appropriate authorisation to undertake an internship in Singapore prior to commencing the role. Fragment Works reserves the right to verify working eligibility before extending any offer.
