Job Summary

Lead and supervise daily accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger operations to ensure timely and accurate financial processes. Drive process improvements and compliance to support financial reporting and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the accounts team to deliver accurate and timely AR/AP/GL operations aligned with quality standards
  • Enforce compliance with policies and standard operating procedures by ensuring complete documentation, approvals, and audit trails
  • Manage the order-to-cash process including delivery order and invoicing, statement of accounts submission, collections follow-up, and customer receipt posting to optimize cash flow
  • Perform daily bank reconciliation and clear receipts and payments in the accounting system to maintain accurate cash records
  • Oversee the invoice-to-pay process including purchase order matching, invoice posting, payment scheduling, and execution via bank portal to ensure timely vendor payments
  • Manage special accounts payable workflows such as advance payments, multi-currency and agency remittances, and vendor credit memos to maintain accurate vendor accounts
  • Lead month-end closing activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of management reports to support financial decision-making
  • Own prepayment, accrual, and fixed asset schedules ensuring general ledger tie-out and proper supporting documentation for accurate financial statements
  • Lead year-end closing processes and preparation of financial statement packs while coordinating audit schedules and responding to audit queries to ensure compliance and transparency
  • Drive continuous process improvements, deliver training, and facilitate cross-coverage within the team to strengthen internal controls and reduce errors

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma in accounting or relevant experience in accounting functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Residency in Singapore (mandatory for this vacancy)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience in full set accounting and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of SAP Business One (SAP B1)
