Job Description
Responsible for accounting, finance, and administrative support across S.M subsidiaries in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
Malaysia Entities
- Maintain full sets of accounts, including invoicing, AR/AP, petty cash, fixed assets, and general ledger.
- Responsible for accounting and HR bookkeeping records, ensuring accuracy and timely updates according to local compliance.
- Prepare and submit weekly AR reports to all departments, coordinating with the team to ensure AR status is updated.
- Prepare and submit monthly cashflow reports to HQ for funding approval.
- Verify staff claims with proper supporting documents.
- Manage company and staff insurance records with agents.
- Act as company bank preparer, liaising with local banks and ensuring complete payment documentation before management approval.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting, management accounts, reconciliations, and journal entries for HQ.
- Collaborate with Malaysia subsidiary team.
- Assist in tax planning, liaise with external tax agents, and ensure timely tax returns.
- Handle budgeting and forecasting.
- Interpret accounting data, analyze reports, and recommend actions.
- Manage company secretarial tasks with external secretary.
- Coordinate internal and external audits with auditors.
- Oversee HR duties: payroll, EPF, staff tax returns, leave, and claims.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian government regulations.
- Drive improvements in accounting practices and business development.
- Support department head and country manager with ad hoc duties.
Singapore Entities

- Act as company bank preparer, liaising with local banks and ensuring complete payment documentation before management approval.
- Assist in monitoring bank short-term fixed deposit placements.
- Prepare and submit weekly AR reports to all departments, coordinating with the team to ensure AR status is updated.
- Manage company and staff insurance records with agents.
- Oversee pantry and stationery records.
- Handle office courier arrangements.
- Assist during company events when required.
- Support department head and country manager with ad hoc duties.
Indonesia Entities
- Assist department head with accounting, finance, and administrative duties as required.
Requirements
- Diploma holder, preferably with 2 years’ experience handling Malaysia accounting.
- Able to handle full sets of accounts.
- Hands-on knowledge of accounting software (MYOB) and payroll software INFO-TECH preferred.
- Extensive experience in financial reporting and tax filing in Malaysia.
- Experienced in preparation of financial reporting to HQ.
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with standard accounting software.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (verbal and written).
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Responsible, independent, and conscientious.
- Initiative, analytical, fast learner, meticulous, with strong attention to detail.
- High sense of responsibility, able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Immediate availability preferred.
