About the role:
Lead Singapore finance operations and support APAC accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, tax, treasury, and internal controls. Partner with regional stakeholders to drive process improvements, support business decisions, and maintain compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
Job duties:
- Lead day-to-day finance and accounting operations for Singapore and support selected APAC entities.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, payroll accounting, inventory accounting, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards, statutory regulations, GST, corporate tax, and internal policies.
- Coordinate annual audits, statutory filings, and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and corporate secretaries.
- Maintain and strengthen SOX compliance, internal controls, risk management processes, and audit readiness.
- Manage treasury and cash management activities, including banking relationships, cash flow monitoring, and payment approvals.
- Provide financial analysis, business partnering, and decision support to operational and regional stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhancements to accounting controls and reporting accuracy.
- Coach and guide finance team members while collaborating with regional and global finance stakeholders.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA/CA/ACCA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, leadership or supervisory responsibilities within a multinational environment is a bonus.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore statutory reporting, GST, corporate tax, and financial compliance requirements.
