We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Accountant to oversee the financial health of two hotel operating entities. You will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of General Ledger (GL) activities, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting the management team with accurate financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

1. General Ledger & Financial Closing

• Perform full-set monthly journal entries, including Sales, Payroll, Intercompany, and Fixed Assets.
• Manage month-end closing processes and take over specific sales journal portfolios from outgoing team members.
• Review and approve journal entries for accruals (utilities, prepayments, NETS) to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for specific entities.

2. Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare and submit quarterly GST reporting in compliance with IRAS regulations.
• Prepare and Corporate Tax and Property Tax for review and submission
• Support the Senior Finance Manager in ad-hoc reporting based on compliance needs
• Maintain and reconcile bank statements for multiple banks (DBS, OCBC, etc.).
• Manage Statutory Audit processes, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors.

3. Accounts Payable & Operations

• Oversee the Payment Approval process to ensure timely and accurate vendor disbursements.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure all financial records align with hotel operations.

4. Ad-hoc Projects

• Support the Senior Finance Manager and Director in ad-hoc financial projects and process improvements.
• Participate in company's sustainability effort for the environment and being an inclusive employer.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the Hospitality/Hotel industry.
• Proficient in GST reporting, Corporate Tax, Property Tax and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Experience with hotel-specific systems (e.g., Opera, Oracle NetSuite, or similar ERPs) is an advantage.
