We are supporting a well-established international energy trading organisation in Singapore that is adding headcount within its Finance function. This role sits within the accounting team and is responsible for overseeing overhead cost accounting, financial closing activities, intercompany charges, and statutory and regulatory reporting for the Singapore entities. The position works closely with both local and regional stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial outcomes.

What you will be doing:

You will be involved in the day-to-day accounting and reporting of general and administrative expenses, ensuring records are complete, accurate, and aligned with internal controls and regulatory standards. The role operates in a structured environment with regular reporting cycles and close interaction with regional and global finance teams.

Your responsibilities will include managing overhead cost postings and accruals, preparing variance analysis and management reports, and supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. You will handle intercompany recharges and reconciliations, support tax and GST reporting requirements, contribute to budgeting and forecasting exercises, and provide audit and regulatory documentation as required. You will also participate in process improvement initiatives and ad-hoc finance projects.

What we are looking for:

You should have a strong foundation in accounting, with experience gained in a trading, commodities, energy, or similarly complex business environment. You are comfortable working to tight deadlines, detail-focused, and able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different functions and regions. Good communication skills, sound judgement, and a practical, hands-on mindset are important for success in this role.
