Engineering Assistant (Precision Machining)

Salary: $2,000 – $3,000

Working Hours: 8:15am – 5:30pm (Monday to Friday)

Location: Changi North

Job Description

Supports engineers in preparing drawings and costing data for precision machining projects. This role involves CAD drawing, BOM preparation, and coordination with Supply Chain to ensure accurate documentation and costing.

• Create child part drawings using SolidWorks or similar CAD software
• Prepare Bills of Material (BOM) for RFD (Request for Drawing)
• Specify raw material sizes, surface treatments, sub-processes, and standard parts
• Follow up with Supply Chain on supplier quotations
• Consolidate and input costing data using company formats
• Assist engineers in reviewing and maintaining technical documentation
• Support ad-hoc engineering and manufacturing tasks as required

Requirements

• Higher NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical or Precision Engineering
• Basic understanding of CNC machining, manufacturing processes, surface treatments, and materials
• Proficient in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to meet deadlines
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Team player, willing to support engineering and production teams
