Role:
Assistant EHS Manager (Construction / Up to $7800)

• Working Days: 5 Days A Week (Monday – Friday), 8.30am to 5.30pm, Saturday may need to work half day depends on project (Can claim OT)
• Office at (City Hall)
• Salary: $5800 to $7800

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Workplace Safety, Health and Environment and accepted WSH-related qualification
Minimum 10 years’ experience as a WSHO
Must hold a valid registration with MOM as a WSH Officer

Job scopes

To oversee all QEHS & ECM functions (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety) and work closely with all Head of Departments and peers to ensure statutory compliance, KPIs, organizational standards, and policies set are met.

Responsible for identifying, assessing and advising on risks arising from the workplace or work processes, recommending measures to eliminate or minimise and control the risks and implementing the measures.

To coordinate, maintain and update documentation for ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018.

To conduct periodic internal audit for the QEHS management systems.

Conduct training for employees on the QEHS management systems.

To facilitate management review meeting.

To update and disseminate relevant legal and other requirements to company employees and interested parties.

To update and maintain green & gracious initiatives for certification under the GGBS.

To analyse accident statistics and develop intervention programme.

To organise annual Company wide QEHS promotional activities.

To plan and conduct EHS cross inspection for company projects.

To arrange for external audit on the QEHS management systems and ensure certifications are kept current.

To monitor and ensure other QEHS related certifications are kept current (e.g.Bizsafe, GGBS, Registered Scaffold Contractor).

To prepare annual Company safety targets in-line with adopted targets from company’s Oversea Division.

To conduct periodic meetings with project WSHO for sharing of operating site issues with a view to standardize QEHS activities for Company project adoption.

To provide QEHS consultation to Company project sites.

To provide relevant support to the Business Development Department in tendering exercise.

To identify & recommend relevant QEHS related training, seminars, forums etc for Company staff participation.

To liaise & participate in authorities visits to project sites where appropriate.

To assist & provide advice to project sites on accident/incident investigation upon request.

To make use of in-house cloud system (i.e., share point, one-drive etc.) to keep records for sharing and easy reference.

Any other assignments as instructed by the Construction General Manager or Company Director.
